Our research group investigates the perception of time and space as fundamental aspects of human experience. We employ psychophysics and neuroscientific methods to study the effects of healthy and pathological aging on the perception of time and space as well as their interrelation. A specific focus of our research lies in the cross-dimensional interference between temporal and spatial processing.
Does subjective time pass faster when we are in a large room?
Does it slow down in small rooms?
Is our perception of space affected by our temporal experience?
As part of the FG Biological Psychology and Neuroergonomics at the TU Berlin, we have access to several laboratories equipped with optical motion tracking systems and multiple head-mounted displays (HTC Vive).
